Ring in 2026 with a membership to Club Fitness
The twinkle lights and Christmas ornaments have been taken down and packed away for another year; your social calendar has quieted after weeks of festive parties and celebrations; the warm holiday glow has faded into the chill of winter—and yet, there’s still one gift left to unwrap as we step into 2026: the gift of personal fitness through Club Fitness in Irmo.
Club Fitness, a premier, luxury fitness club located in the newly renovated Anchor Lanes off Lake Murray Blvd, is thriving in its first year of business and steadily building a reputation as “Irmo’s Gym”, one client success at a time. They opened their doors on March 28, 2025, and haven’t looked back.

Since opening, Club Fitness has received several awards including being voted “Best Gym of Irmo-Chapin Life,” “Best Luxury Fitness Club of SC,” and “Excellence Award in Personal Training – SC.” Owner and Founder, Adam Feeney, was named an Honored Listee on the 2025 Marqui Who’s Who in America for Business Owners, and was personally appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster to sit on the SC Governors Council for Physical Fitness as an elected official.
Owner and personal trainer Adam Feeney has poured his passion for fitness into the gym, making it a world-class training destination. They have equipment and space designed for everyone, regardless of their fitness level. Athletes with years of experience will find everything they need to keep progressing, while those stepping into the gym for the first time will have all the support and tools to begin their journey with confidence.
Feeney has created a premium workout space that is accessible to members 24/7, giving members the freedom to build a routine that fits their schedule. The gym features both indoor and outdoor training areas, along with top-tier equipment and machines that elevate your entire fitness experience. Club Fitness has truly become a one-of-a-kind fitness club that inspires members to push further, feel stronger, and reach their full potential.
“We have new equipment, the old school equipment that everyone loves, 12 TVs throughout with the ESPN sports package, and a new sound system playing upbeat music for you to enjoy,” said Feeney. “We keep it incredibly clean, too. There are Wet Wipes everywhere, the space is deep cleaned every week, and the floors are cleaned every day. There’s also a commercial-grade air purification system with the Ritz Carlton scent to keep it smelling nice.”

With New Year’s resolutions still fresh in your mind and your plans for the year beginning to take shape, there’s no better time to get started. Club Fitness is sweetening the deal to give you the extra momentum you need to join.
“January is a great time to start,” said Feeney. “As part of our first year in business, new members will receive the Founding Member rates through the end of January. Starting in February, rates will increase. We’re running a special for January, where we’ll waive the initiation fee for anyone who joins this month. We still have some VIP memberships available, as well as private lockers left to rent.”
Every member has full access to the gym, all the equipment and functional training areas, as well as the locker rooms and private showers. VIP Memberships level up the experience by including discounts on private lockers, personal training, food & drink coolers, Simple Plan Meals, Anchor Lanes Golf Simulators, and Anchor Lanes Bowling and Restaurant. Both the Club Memberships and VIP Memberships have a limited number of openings so that Club Fitness can continue to provide the private fitness club experience they want every member to enjoy.
For those who would like to try The Club they offer guest passes for a day, week, or month, and they offer month-to-month memberships. Not all membership costs are paid out of pocket for members, as some health insurance plans offer fitness incentive programs. It’s one option that Feeney encourages potential members to look into.
“A lot of people between the ages of 18 and 64 can get a free membership to our club through their work insurance,” he shared. “We have members who have joined that way, as well as members who are 65 and older who have joined through networks like Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, Ash Fitness, FitOn Health and OnePass.”

Feeney and Club Fitness teamed up with locally owned Garner Fit Personal Training, owned by Jason Garner, to provide members with the extra direction and motivation they need to meet their fitness goals. Through personal training, members get tailored workout experience that keeps them accountable, challenges them at the right pace, and fuels their progress every step of the way. Garner Fit also provides certified stretch trainers, licensed nutritionists, meal plans, workout plans, recovery room with red light therapy and a deep discount on 1st Phorm Supplements for Club Fitness members thanks to sponsored fitness athlete Jason Garner. Garner Fit licensed personal trainers give members one-on-one training to maximize the time they spend in the gym while focusing on the long-range goal of becoming the healthiest version of themselves.
Garner Fit and Club Fitness work hand in hand to create a comprehensive fitness experience that meets the unique needs of each member. By combining expert personal training with top-notch gym facilities, they ensure that everybody has the tools, guidance, and motivation necessary to reach their goals and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.
Beyond the health aspect, Feeney and his family are firm believers in giving back to the local community any way that they can through their business. They are committed to supporting the people and organizations that make their hometown stronger. Their goal is not only to provide great services through their businesses, but also to create a lasting, positive impact.

The Clubs’ success has given us the opportunity to support charities for important causes,” said Feeney. “We hosted a fundraiser at Club Fitness for veterans, in remembrance of my best friend Eddie Forrest II. Pastor Chandler Bailey led a memorial in Irmo Park followed by an event at Club Fitness to raise funds for Eddies’ son. My Grandpa Joe Feeney was also a veteran, served in Hawaii in WWII. If it wasn’t for brave men and women like Eddie and my Grandpa Joe protecting our great country, we wouldn’t be able to open Club Fitness. This is why we offer discounts to veterans, military and 1st responders.”
Feeney’s commitment to giving back is matched by the gratitude he feels for the support that made Club Fitness possible. He credits his family and the staff for helping turn his vision into reality.
“I could not have started Club Fitness without my mom and stepdad, Missy Feeney and Scott Johnson,” said Feeney. “They gave me the opportunity to turn eight lanes from the bowling alley into a gym. I’m extremely grateful for them, as well as the support that I have received from the staff at Anchor Lanes.
Even with that support, Feeney reflects on the personal influences that shaped his passion for fitness. He fondly remembers his father, whose guidance and encouragement laid the foundation for the gym he runs today.
“I just wish that my dad, Brian Feeney (Air Force Veteran), was alive today to see this gym,” said Feeney. “He’d love it! My dad was the first person to take me into a gym. When we lived in Puerto Rico, he took me to the gym on the military base every week. That’s where my passion for fitness began. He taught me how to work out, bought me my first weightlifting set, and got me my first gym membership in my freshman year of high school at New Life Fitness in Irmo. He was the man, my hero, my best friend, and most importantly to me, he was the best dad in the world.”

Alongside honoring his past, Feeney acknowledges the present support system that helped bring Club Fitness to life. Emily Feeney, his wife, played a critical role in planning and launching the gym, ensuring its success.
“Emily helped me out so much with this gym, I couldn’t have done it without her,” said Feeney. “She’s amazing. She was a driving force in opening this luxury private fitness club. She planned and coordinated the private opening and the grand opening, and because of her, they were both incredibly successful.
“She’s also an amazing mother to our baby girl, Addison,” said Feeney. “I couldn’t ask for a better mom for my child than her. Emily loves Addison with all her heart, and she does so much for our little family—I’m a lucky man!”
With the combined support of family, staff, and the community, Feeney has built a gym that reflects his values. Club Fitness is more than just a place to work out; it’s also a hub for helping people achieve their health goals and improve their lives.
“We’re very proud of what we’re doing here at Club Fitness with Garner Fit for our amazing community,” said Feeney. “We love what we do. We’re helping people throughout Columbia achieve their fitness goals, become healthier, and live better lives.”
