In 1958 in Jamaica, a man named Sydney Levy saw that his community had a desperate need. At that time, most people of the island nation raised their chickens and sold them live to friends, family, and neighbors. One disease or disaster and your neighborhood would be without chicken for the season. Levy dreamed of bringing the convenience of “dressed” chickens – plucked and cleaned – to families across the island. With hard work, this vision became reality, and The Best Dressed Chicken brand was born. Sixty-six years and three generations later, Levy’s son and grandsons have brought that same commitment to people in the United States.
